The semi-annual NGS cleat exchange will be held on Labor Day, Monday, September 5, from noon to 3pm at 59 Oxford Road in Newton Center. (Returning exchangers should note the new address, different from previous years.)
Here's how it works. Bring old cleats you want to trade in. Try on those in our extensive inventory, and take what you need. You can take new ones even if you have none to turn in.
This is a great chance to clean out your front hall closet! Please bring old cleats to the exchange on September 5, or drop them off at 59 Oxford Road (on the front porch) anytime before that date. Click the image below for directions: |

To
the NGS Soccer Community:
On
selected Wednesday evenings this summer through early August, make your way
to the brand new Newton North High School stadium field, to catch
some great high-level women's soccer. We are very fortunate to have a
top-flight Newton-based team -- Suburban LIGHTNING --
participating in the area's premier women's amateur league, the Eastern Mass.
Women's Soccer League.
Suburban
LIGHTNING are led by long-time NGS coach David Amidon. The team serves as
a summer training program for area inter-collegiate soccer players. Many
of these players grew up in Newton and are "graduates" of the NGS program.
The
game is often the greatest teacher, and watching high-level soccer on a regular
basis is both enjoyable and a very effective way to help learn the game and
improve play. So, grab your NGS players and come on out to Newton
North this summer. Matches kick off at 6:15 pm. Suburban
LIGHTNING's home opener is Wednesday, June 15th. Home
matches will be on each succeeding Wednesday evening through July.
The complete schedule will be posted shortly on the NGS web site -- www.newtongirlssoccer.org. (also
see dates below).
For
more information, visit the EMWSL website (www.emwsl.org)
or contact David (damidon@burnslev.com)
directly.
Home Dates: 6/15, 6/22, 6/29, 7/6, 7/13, 7/20, 7/27 |

Few players
in the world -male or female- can even come close to the accomplishments of
Kristine Lilly. For more than 20 years she has remained one of the game’s top
players, a fact to which her record 352 caps for the US National Team gives
testament. Now you can have fun and meet new friends as well as learn soccer
skills from this two-time Olympic Gold Medalist and two-time World Cup Champion!
Dates: June
27-29, 2011 at Dover Sherborn High School in Dover,
MA.
Host
Kristine at your next camp, private clinic, or one-on-one training session! For
